To the powwows , Powwow means
"a secular event featuring group singing and dancing by men,
women, and children."

The music in their cultural celebration of their heritage provided
by drummers and singers .

Powwow songs formwd by key phrases which are repeated.
These phrases may be composed of syllables
which echo the beat of the drum.

There are two kinds of singing styles,
one named Northern Style, singers singing with a higher pitch,
and the other named Southern Style , singers keep a lower key.
