Code Breakers

She was a typist at Bletchley Park .

This website talked about a woman who was a code breaker.
She typed gobbledygook all day .
Code breakers should be very careful because if a line was missed, they had to start again from the beginning.

「She neither dropped bombs nor led secret missions on foreign soil but she helped save lives nonetheless.」
I like this sentence .
It showed that the code breakers was so important.

The Enigma machine .

This website is really nice .
There are many pictures in it .
Most important of all, each picture has a explication.
We just need to check the pictures under the writing, and it will show you another information of the picture.

I saw many special machines, and learned a lot of information from this site.
That's so cool.
It interests me a lot, and makes me want to learn more about that.

POW

Prisoners of War at Camp Aliceville.

This website has many pictures,
and it talked about POW Camps in Alabama.
The prisoners sometimes organized into teams
and had some activities, such as playing soccer.
I thought that the prisoners might be very poor before I read this writing.
However, the pictures showed their life was not as bad as I thought.
I am so ... surprised about that .

The tunnel outside the camp wall.

This website is more different from the first one.
The writing telled me another information about POW.
After compared these two websites,
I understood that the prisoners in each camps had different life stytles.
Some of them were painful, the others were luckier.

Spies in WWII

Stalin, and other Communist officials .

There is a lot of information here in the website.
The website showed not only nice pictures but also good information.
However, there is too much of content,
so I just read some parts of the writing which interested me .

I like the writing about the military intelligence the most.
It is very excited for me to know the history .

A painting of World War II spy, Virginia Hall.

This website talked about female spies .
There are a lot of pictures of the spies, and their life story.

I learned what did the females do in WWII.
They had many hardships.
However, they were strong .
They coped with problems by themselves.

I thought they were as brave as a lion .

This is a classical war film.
I learned that the Nazi spies have invaded San Franscisco in Waterfront.
I enjoyed watching it .
However, I thought it is too short .
